Pictured below are natural round reed garlic baskets approx. 5-6" high. They hold 3-4 large heads of garlic (Elephant garlic) or shallots, small onions, etc. Also pictured are onion baskets, which are approx. 9-10" high. They will hold 10-12 small to medium onions or myriad other objects. These two are currently the most popular type of basket I'm making for folks.

All of my baskets are available natural or dyed in a variety of solid or space dyed* colors. Natural garlic baskets are $11.00 each, natural onion baskets are $15.00. Dyed baskets are $13 and $17. Shipping is additional and is exact based upon your ZIP code and desired method of shipping. Click on the thumbnails below to see a larger image.

    Rim detail

There is lot's of room for creativity with the weaving/braiding of the rims.
NOTES:
There have been some folk who would like to use the onion to hold utensils in their kitchen — specifically wooden utensils. I’m experimenting with a nice cotton or muslin liner to accommodate that. Watch for that to appear in the near future.

Some customers use the larger basket to hold guest towels in a powder room. The smaller basket holds decorative soaps nicely. Baskets are wonderful objects. Just use your imagination!
